The PADI Tec Sidemount Diver course is part of PADI?s TecRec training series. PADI Tec Sidemount Diver is primarily intended for two types of divers: recreational divers looking for a technical diving transition course. It is also for Tec divers who would like to apply sidemount diving techniques to their technical dives. Please note this is not a decompression diver course but teaches you how to handle 3-4 tanks set up in sidemount configuration. It is necessary if you would like to take your technical diving course in sidemount.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
The course includes a practical application session on equipment set up, a confined water dive and four open water dives.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CERTIFICATION?
The TecRec Tec Sidemount Diver course develops the base equipment-related motor skills and underlying knowledge for the use of sidemount in technical diving. If you are planning to use this configuration on your technical diving course, this is a must do before.

REQUIREMENTS
- PADI Advanced Open Water diver or higher
- 30 or more logged dives
- At least 18 years of age
- It is suggested you have Sidemount certification PADI Enriched Air Diver but it is not mandatory (or hold a qualifying certifications from another organization)Obtain a valid diving medical statement signed by a physician
