SSI Technical Extended Range – Course Structure
Theory and Knowledge Development
This course focuses heavily on dive theory and technical diving principles:

Confined & Open Water Practical Sessions

Confined Water Session (1 dive): Practise technical diving skills including buoyancy, trim, gas switching, and emergency drills.

Open Water Dives (6 dives, including 2 Trimix dives): Execute deeper dives under real-world conditions, managing decompression schedules, trimix gas switching, and emergency scenarios.
SSI Technical Extended Range – Course Requirements

Minimum Age: 18 years

Certification Level: SSI Extended Range Nitrox (or equivalent)

Logged Dives: Minimum of 70 dives recommended

Medical Clearance: Valid diving medical certificate
- The course may be conducted in sidemount, provided the diver is already fully certified and qualified in the chosen configuration.
