San Dimitri Point - West Gozo

The cliffs above of San Dimitri climb up to over 80 meters and drops below 60 m. At the depth of 6 meters, you can find a shallow plateau. The top of this reef is perfect for anchoring the dive boat and completing any safety stop at the end of the dive.

The first part of the drop-off gently leads down to some house-sized boulders with vertical walls. Head out due west in the open water until you reach a depth around 30 meters and then follow the reef – follow it run in a big semi-circle to the south. During the entire dive, always watch out for big shoals of barracuda and also look towards the open sea for dentex and groupers! You might also be able to spot different kinds of rays as they are very common at this dive site. Upon returning to the anchor-place, there is a sheltered swim-through between the cliff wall and the backside of the reef before you ascend to your safety stop and enjoy the reef platform with its colorful marine life.

Divers with Advanced Open Water level or above can have real fun here.
