Double Arch Marsalforn - Gozo
Double Arch in Marsalforn, Gozo is a remarkable diving site that offers an unforgettable experience to seasoned divers. Positioned outside the salt pans in Marsalforn, Double Arch boasts a T-shaped reef at a depth of 16 meters, with steep precipices on either side cascading to 40 meters.
As you make your way around the reef’s corner, you will encounter two natural arches, one atop the other. After navigating through the arches, you’ll begin your ascent to the reef’s summit, which is teeming with abundant marine life. Here, you will have a chance to spot a variety of fish species, including big barracuda, dentex, and amberjack up close.
Although you can reach the site on foot, a long swim can make the experience arduous without using DPV. However, if you are adventurous, at the outer wall, a stunning cavern awaits you at a depth of 35 meters. On the other hand, if you prefer a more comfortable option, a 10-minute scooter ride is all that is needed to get to Double Arch, after which the site descends to 50+ meters.
For technical divers, visiting the Triple Arch on the same diving excursion is an additional highlight to explore during the dive. For recreational divers, the Triple Arch usually makes for an exciting and manageable second dive experience.
For those who want to spend more time exploring the reef, a boat can also be used to approach the site, providing ample time to enjoy the diving experience.
In summary, diving at the Double Arch Marsalforn Gozo is certain to be a highlight of your holiday, fostering cherished memories for years to come.
