What is Involved?
The PADI TecRec Tec Deep Instructor Course integrates instructional philosophies, technical skills, and course planning strategies specific to deep technical diving instruction. The course includes:
Advanced teaching techniques for decompression procedures and gas management.
Organizing and conducting Tec 40, Tec 45, and Tec 50 courses.
Promotional and business aspects of technical diving instruction.
Practical training dives, allowing you to refine your skills in real-world scenarios.

What Can I Teach with This Certification?
Upon certification, you will be qualified to teach and certify divers in:
- PADI Tec 40
- PADI Tec 45
- PADI Tec 50
This allows you to introduce divers to staged decompression diving, deep diving procedures, and twinset configurations, helping them progress toward full technical diving certification.
Duration
6-8 days, including theory, practical training, and in-water assessments.
TecRec Tec Deep Instructor Requirements
To enroll in the PADI TecRec Tec Deep Instructor Course, you must:
Be a renewed PADI MSDT (Master Scuba Diver Trainer) or higher-ranked PADI Instructor.
Be a certified PADI Tec 50 diver (or equivalent from another agency).
Have 270 logged dives, with at least 25 staged decompression dives included.
Hold PADI Enriched Air Instructor and PADI Deep Diver Specialty Instructor ratings.
Have issued at least 10 certifications in Enriched Air or Deep Diver specialties (any combination).
Have a valid diving medical statement signed by a physician.

Hire of twinset, stage cylinders, and weights.
Technical diving gases (as per gas outline).
