The confined sessions and theory of the Open Water course can be started at any dive center – and then the four Open Water dives may be completed with us. This is a perfect way of doing the fun dives while you are on holiday, and leave doing the theory at home! This leaves you with more time to dive and maybe give you time to join in one of our other dives or furthering education courses!
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Upon verification of your progress from your previous instructor, you will complete your open water dives either on our house reef or out on one of the many dives around the Maltese Islands!
WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY CERTIFICATION?
You will be qualified to dive to 18m depth and are able to dive with a buddy independently.*
(* Maltese diving regulations requires at least Advanced Open Water to dive in Malta independent of a dive center)
Minimum age 15 (those age 10-14 are eligible for the PADI Junior Open Water Course)
Ability to swim 200m unaided without stopping and float/thread for 10 minutes.
Hire of basic equipment, instructor, land transport to dive sites, PADI certification card
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING?
Bring a towel, water, swimming suit, and to change to dry after diving. Many times we drive to the divesites, no wet clothes allowed in the vehicles.

(This part of the course is usually completed with your local dive center before coming to Malta)

If you order the Crew Pack, it will be waiting for you when you arrive at Dive Systems.)
